General learning difficulties

Giftedness
Psychoeducational Assessment Process
-
A clinical interview to explore current concerns and lived experience, along with relevant developmental, medical, and psychosocial history.
-
Collection and exploration of relevant background information including demographics form, school reports, and other diagnostic or assessment reports.
-
Use of cognitive and academic testing (typically a WISC-V and WIAT-III).
-
Where helpful, assessment of other skills, such as adaptive or executive functioning skills, to better inform supports and accommodations.
-
A feedback session is conducted typically 4 to 6 weeks following completion of assessment measures and receipt of other relevant information to discuss findings in a clear, collaborative way. A written report with results and tailored recommendations to support learning and development will be provided following this session.
