Fees, Rebates & Policies

Hayleigh aims to keep therapy affordable by offering fees below the APS recommended rates, while maintaining high-quality, evidence-based care. The Australian Psychological Society suggested schedule of fees for 2025-2026 is $318 for a standard 46-60 minute consultation.

Therapy Sessions (50 mins)

• Standard fee: $225

• A 50% deposit is required to secure your initial booking, with the remaining balance payable on the day of your session.

• You do not need a referral from a GP or other health professional to see a Psychologist. You can self-refer by contacting Hayleigh Dunne Psychology via email and phone.

• Please note that private sessions (without a Mental Health Care Plan) are not eligible for a Medicare rebate, and the full standard consultation fee applies.

Medicare Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)

• With a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician the Medicare rebate is $101.55 as at July 2026. This amount typically increases annually and covers up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

• After payment and attendance, the Medicare rebate is deposited directly into your nominated bank account within approximately 24-28 hours.

• Please provide admin with a copy of your GP referral letter and Mental Health Care Plan via email before your first session.

• Hayleigh does not offer bulk billing services. A reduced fee may be available for valid Health Care or Concession Card holders. Please enquire with admin prior to booking.

Please note Hayleigh does not currently see new clients that are claiming under an Eating Disorder Treatment Plan.

Private Health

• Rebates may be available through your private health fund. Please check with your insurer for your level of cover and rebate amount.

NDIS Sessions

• As per NDIS pricing arrangement guide

• Available for self-managed and plan-managed participants only

ASSESSMENT FEES

Adult Assessments (16+ years)

• Adult ADHD assessments – $900

• Adult autism assessments – $1125

• Adult combined autism and ADHD assessments – $1462

Child and Adolescent Assessments

• From $1,320

  Assessment fees vary depending on the type of assessment and individual needs.

A 50% deposit of the total fee amount is required to secure your assessment booking. To enquire about booking an assessment, please contact admin via phone, email, or the contact form.

REBATES FOR ASSESSMENTS

Medicare: For autism assessments Medicare rebates are available for individuals below the age of 25 years however you need to access an eligible referral (Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders and eligible disabilities) from a Paediatrician or Psychiatrist. This referral covers a portion of the assessment, which can vary depending on the type and length of assessment. For any individuals 25 years and above there are no Medicare rebates available for assessments.

Private Health Insurance: Assessments may be eligible for private health insurance rebates; however, you will need to confirm with your insurer.

NDIS: NDIS funding does not generally cover diagnostic assessments, unless specifically requested by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). In some cases, certain assessments, such as cognitive testing, may be eligible for funding depending on your individual goals and plan. We recommend checking with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or Plan Manager before booking to confirm eligibility.

Payment plans may be available, please enquire with admin upon booking.

We understand that life can be unpredictable and plans sometimes change. However, late cancellations or missed appointments can impact both the clinicians time and other clients who are seeking care. To help Hayleigh provide care to all clients, we kindly ask that you provide at least 2 business days’ notice if you need to reschedule.

If you cancel within the 48 hour cancellation period and we are able to offer your appointment slot to another client, no cancellation fee will apply, so we appreciate as much notice as possible. Telehealth sessions may be offered as an alternative if you cannot attend in person. You are able to email the clinic or leave a voicemail if you need to cancel over a weekend or public holidays.

Cancellation Fees

• Appointments not attended or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice: 100% of the session fee ($225)

• Appointments cancelled with 24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of the session fee ($112.50)

Late Attendance

We recognise that delays can happen, however, if you are late, sessions will finish at the originally scheduled time to respect all clients.

Extenuating Circumstances

We recognise that unforeseen events—such as illness, emergencies, or bereavement—can occur. If you are unable to attend due to exceptional circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible. Each case will be considered individually, and exceptions to the policy may be made.
