Hayleigh Dunne Psychology is located inside the Fifth Avenue Lifestyle Centre - Suite 6-7/10 Dawn Rd, Albany Creek, 4035.

There is ample street parking available next to the centre. A bus stop is also located 300m away on Keong Rd.

Hayleigh Dunne Psychology does not have in-house reception staff. Upon arrival, please take a seat in the waiting area, and Hayleigh will meet you at the time of your appointment.
Please note for security and confidentiality reasons, the clinic door may be locked. If you find the door locked upon arrival, please take a seat on one of the chairs located in the main lobby area and Hayleigh will collect you at the time of your appointment.

Yes, all services at Hayleigh Dunne Psychology are confidential, in line with professional and legal standards. Your information is only shared with your written consent, except where disclosure is legally required or if there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.
Confidentiality will be explained in more detail during your first session, and you can view our Client Confidentiality & Records Policy upon request.

The focus of assessments is on understanding and supporting the whole person.

Gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their neurotype.
Make sense of long-standing challenges or differences.
Identify strengths, support needs, and accommodations (e.g., workplace or school-based accommodations).
Access tailored support for daily life, learning, work, and wellbeing.

AUTISM & ADHD ASSESSMENT PROCESS:
Clinical interview
A clinical interview to explore current concerns and lived experience, along with relevant developmental, medical, and psychosocial history.Information Gathering
Collection and exploration of relevant background information including demographics form, school reports, and diagnostic or assessment reports.Assessment Measures
Use of standardised, neurodivergent-affirming tools to support understanding of autism and/or ADHD. This may include questionnaires and rating scales completed by the individual and, where appropriate, parents, caregivers, teachers, or other supports.Additional Measures
Where helpful, assessment of cognitive and academic abilities to better inform supports and accommodations.Feedback & Report
A feedback session is conducted typically 4 to 6 weeks following completion of assessment measures and receipt of other relevant information to discuss findings in a clear, collaborative way. A written report with results and tailored recommendations will be provided following this session.
PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENTS:

A feedback session is conducted typically 4 to 6 weeks following completion of assessment measures to discuss findings in a clear, collaborative way. A written report with results and tailored recommendations to support learning and development will be provided following this session.

Assessment appointments typically range from 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the type of assessment being completed. Our administration team will advise you of the expected appointment length when your assessment is booked.
If you have any questions or concerns about the duration of your appointment, please don't hesitate to discuss them with admin before your session.
Therapy

The first session is an orientation to therapy. It’s a relaxed, conversational space where Hayleigh focuses on understanding your needs and setting the foundation for treatment.
During this session, Hayleigh will:
Review confidentiality, consent, and your rights
Discuss your history, strengths, challenges, and goals
Discuss a treatment plan tailored to your needs
Answer any questions you may have
For children and adolescents, the first session typically includes parents or caregivers. This allows Hayleigh to gather important information about your child’s needs, strengths, and challenges.
Sessions are 50 minutes long, and the frequency of appointments will be discussed during the first session. Hayleigh will also discuss whether her experience and expertise are a good fit for your concerns.

Yes, Hayleigh offers in-person, video, or phone sessions, depending on your preferences and individual needs.

No, you do not need a referral to access psychological services. You can book an appointment directly and choose to pay privately. If you're eligible, you may also be able to access services through a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan or claim rebates using your private health insurance, depending on your level of cover.

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes in duration.
